VIKASA’s Approach
is to build Ecosystems
VIKASA directly provides a range of services such as capacitating farmers on how best to sustainably tap the available natural resources, brings in better agronomic practices to augment the production and productivity in a sustainable way, ensuring the quality of critical inputs such as seed, life saving irrigation, trainings on post harvest handling of their crops and basic value addition at their farm level.
Besides, by initiating two local institutions, the other critical aspects of the ecosystem services such as marketing of their produce (thorough Farmers Producer Companies) and ensuring the timely credit (through Vana VIkasa Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift Society), are provided thus ensuring an ecosystem of services a farmer requires.
